Learner Drivers | Getting started
As an Independent Driving School we currently give Manual driving lessons, Automatic Driving Lessons and Intensive driving lessons also known as (Crash Courses) in Tameside, Stockport, Oldham, Manchester and the surrounding areas.
Before you start to drive, you must:
- hold a valid, provisional driving licence for Great Britain or Northern Ireland
- make sure that any vehicle you drive is roadworthy and properly taxed and insured
Who can you drive with?
You can learn to drive with a full licence holder provided they ar over 21 and have held a full UK driving licence for 3 years.
The car must be insured for you to drive, even on a car park, otherwise both you and the accompanying driver can be prosecuted.
If you book a lessons with us
We will arrange for an instructor to pick you up, this can be from Home, College or Work.
We will then check your licence and eyesight (You must be able to read a car number plate from 20 metres.)
We would then take you to a suitable training area and familiarise you with the car and controls.
If you have driven before then we would assess your drive and see where and how we can help you to progress.
If its your first lesson the we would show you the road skills for getting started.
Ways to Pay
You can pay the instructor direct with cash or prepay through the office with a debit or credit card.
